According to multiple reports, Milwaukee Brewers ace Yovani Gallardo was arrested early Tuesday morning for driving under the influence of alcohol.

Gallardo, 27, was ticketed for being a first-time offender but was also arrested due to Milwaukee County Sheriff policy.

Gallardo's blood-alcohol content was nearly three times the legal limit.

The Brewers released a statement later Tuesday morning: "We have been made aware of the situation with Yovani and we take this matter very seriously. We have expressed our disappointment to him and know he understands that behavior of this nature is of great concern to everyone in the organization. Yovani has acknowledged the seriousness of this incident and is taking full accountability for his actions."
