Brewers baseball, over-the-air. That's the plan for 10 games this season, as the team announced a partnership with Good Karma Brands on Tuesday. The partnership will allow fans to watch games without having a cable or streaming subscription.
Ten Regular Season and three spring training games will appear on over-the-air stations in Wisconsin. Through the new partnership, Brewers games will air on WITI FOX6 in Milwaukee, as well as eight other stations in other regional affiliates throughout the state. The broadcasts will be simulcast with FanDuel Sports Network, the Brewers' television rightsholder.
"Offering access to Brewers games and showcasing our players to as broad of an audience as possible is a high priority for us," said Brewers President of Business Operations Rick Schlesinger via statement. "This partnership with Good Karma Brands, in conjunction with FanDuel Sports Network, FOX6 and the affiliates network gives us great reach to fans throughout the television territory. Fans can now watch through a number of offerings, including cable or satellite, local TV, streaming through the FanDuel Sports Network app and out-of-market on MLB.TV and MLB Extra Innings. We appreciate the efforts of FanDuel Sports Network in expanding the reach of Brewers baseball on this over-the-air platform."
The schedule begins with the Brewers' home opener on Monday, March 31 vs. the Kansas City Royals. The remaining simulcasts will take place during Tuesday night games.
