Pleasant Kafe, the quaint bi-level coffee shop and wine bar located at 1600 N. Jackson St., has closed its doors, according to an email sent to OnMilwaukee by the cafe this morning.
Pleasant Kafe, which offered coffee, pastries and tapas, along with wine and beer, opened in the former Dentice Bros. Italian Sausage shop in the summer of 2014.

In 2024, Lori was honored with a "Top 20 Women in Hospitality to Watch" award by the Wisconsin Restaurant Association.
When she’s not eating, photographing food, writing or planning for TV and radio spots, you’ll find Lori seeking out adventures with her husband Paul, traveling, cooking, reading, learning, snuggling with her cats and looking for ways to make a difference.
