In case you've already hit all of Milwaukee's new patios, here's one more to add to your list before the end of summer.
View MKE, the new restaurant opened in the former Wolf Peach location at 1818 N. Hubbard St., announced that its revamped patio space – named "The Back Yard" – will finally open to the public on Thursday, Aug. 30, just in time for both the Harley 115th and Labor Day weekend.
The renovated space features seating for 100 spread across table seating, the outdoor bar area, casual sofas and fire pits – highlighted, of course, by the restaurant's titular panoramic view of the Milwaukee skyline.
"We’re creating a truly special outdoor space that invites our guests to relax and enjoy all that Milwaukee has to offer, from exceptional cuisine, to laid-back time together, to breathtaking views of the city," said co-owner Carl Tomich, in a press release. "We think residents and visitors alike will embrace the whole patio experience, making View MKE’s Back Yard the premier location in Milwaukee to take in the city while drinking a craft cocktail and savoring farm-fresh cuisine."
Upon opening, The Back Yard will serve light snacks and beverages from 2-5 p.m. seven days a week, as well as View MKE's dinner and brunch menu – the latter now featuring a customize-crazy Bloody Mary cart – during its regular hours.

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.
When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
