A new cafe will be opening in mid-September at 1407 N. Martin Luther King Dr. in the retail space attached to the Park East Enterprise Lofts.

Urban Beets Cafe & Juicery, a locally owned and operated raw juice bar and cafe, will specialize in  plant-based offerings, including gluten-free, locally sourced and organic ingredients, whenever possible.

"We'll be offering fresh made-to-order juice, smoothies, acai bowls, and a variety of salads, wraps, sandwiches and raw treats," says Dawn Balistreri of Urban Beets. "We'll also be crafting espresso and coffee drinks made with low-acid, organic coffee and espresso beans."

Raw dessert options – including pudding and other treats – will also be available.

Balistreri is operator of Wellness Within, a colon hydrotherapy practice in Brookfield.

Stay tuned to OnMilwaukee.com for additional details as they become available.
