Forage Kitchen will open its newest location in the former home of Green Kitchen at the Milwaukee Public Market, 400 N. Water St. on Saturday, Feb. 1 beginning at 10 a.m.
The Madison-based eatery will feature their menu of specialty salads, hearty grain bowls, comforting soups, wraps and gut-friendly beverages including kombucha and fruit-based tepache.
Guests can enjoy favorite offerings like the Local Roots Salad, Forage Chili and Power Bowl featuring organic black rice, roasted sweet potatoes, fresh vegetables and house-made Green Goddess dressing. The Public Market location will also be the first Forage Kitchen to offer freshly pressed juices.
The brand also stays true to its support of Wisconsin agriculture through the support of a variety of purveyors. Among them are brands like Carr Valley Cheese in La Valle; Cedar Grove Cheese in Plain; Flynn Creek Farm Produce in Verona; Breadsmith in Milwaukee; Roth Creamery Cheese in Monroe; Sartori Cheese in Plymouth and UW-Provisions in Madison.
Forage Kitchen will be open at the Milwaukee Public Market Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Lori is the author of two books: the "Wisconsin Field to Fork" cookbook and "Milwaukee Food". Her work has garnered journalism awards from entities including the Milwaukee Press Club. In 2024, Lori was honored with a "Top 20 Women in Hospitality to Watch" award by the Wisconsin Restaurant Association.
When she’s not eating, photographing food, writing or planning for TV and radio spots, you’ll find Lori seeking out adventures with her husband Paul, traveling, cooking, reading, learning, snuggling with her cats and looking for ways to make a difference.
