Beer garden season may be well over, but the South Shore Terrace beer garden is about to heat back up with the return of its popular winter chalets.
Available to rent beginning Friday, Nov. 25, the small warmed shelters allow two to six revellers to relax outside by the frosty Lake Michigan shore with refreshing drinks and sweet treats – such as s'mores assembled over a small open flame.
Running through Jan. 28, the chalets cost $80 – including a $40 food and beverage credit – for a 90-minute reservation, available to book at the South Shore Terrace's website.
Reservations are available on Fridays from 3:50 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Saturdays from 1:50 p.m. until 8 p.m. As for the upcoming holidays, the chalets will be unavailable on Christmas Eve and Day, but they will be open for reservation on New Year's Eve from 12:50 p.m. until 12:50 a.m. as well as New Year's Day from 1:50 p.m. to 8 p.m.

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.
When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
