Teacher Appreciation Week kicks off on May 2. In preparation, Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria has sent out a call for nominations to honor local teachers for their hard work and dedication.
In fact, they are inviting all K-12 students in the Greater Milwaukee area are invited nominate their favorite teacher to win recognition and delicious pizza prizes.
To nominate your favorite teacher, head to loumalnatis.com and submit a statement (100 words or less) describing why your teacher is awesome and deserves to be recognized.
Note that students under the age of 13 will need a parent’s approval to submit their nomination.
Nominations will be accepted through Friday, April 22, with winners selected at the end of April. Prizes will be distributed to teachers during Teacher Appreciation Week, May 2-6.
Winners will be chosen from the pool of qualified applicants by the local Lou Malnati’s team based on originality and reasoning. One grand prize winner will be awarded a $500 gift card to Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria along with a special pizza party pack that will be dropped off at their school. Meanwhile, four honorable mentions will be identified to win a $100 Lou Malnati’s gift card and goodie basket.
“Teachers are the backbone of our local communities,” noted second generation owner Marc Malnati in a release about the initiative. “They work hard every day to give our kids the tools to learn, grow and thrive. We’re excited to honor them and give appreciation for all they do for our kids, families and communities.”
