Jake's Deli – the famed Milwaukee institution, second place finisher for best sandwich in OnMilwaukee.com's readers poll and 2013 editors' pick for the city's finest sandwiches – is preparing a new restaurant, this time located in the food court of Southridge Mall.

The new location will offer the same hot, hand-carved sandwiches – including its beloved corned beef and pastrami – and soups that have made Jake's Deli a hit in Milwaukee since its first eatery opened back in 1955. The new Southridge Mall restaurant will also introduce four new sandwiches: The Rachel, The Commish, The Senator and a veggie Reuben. 

The new restaurant is set to open in the mall in December. It marks the third Jake's Deli and the first location outside the City of Milwaukee.
