It’s been three years and nearly 43 weeks since MOXIE Food & Drink last served up Sunday Brunch in their cozy digs at 501 E. Silver Spring Dr. in Whitefish Bay.
But, on the heels of its seventh anniversary, the beloved eatery will once again relaunch its popular brunch service on Sunday, Jan. 7.
“It’s hard to believe that it took us nearly four years to get brunch service restarted,” notes Anne Marie Arroyo, co-owns MOXIE with partner Tamela Greene. “But it feels good to have survived the many challenges the pandemic presented and to now be ready to thrive and grow again.”
Brunch it up
On the menu, guests will find what Greene calls “inspired American comfort food.” That includes classic dishes like salmon eggs benedict and MOXIE faves like bourbon peach short rib sliders topped with melted Cambozola cheese.
Comforts abound in dishes like country fried steak and eggs (country fried cube steak with two eggs, biscuits and gravy); and poutine featuring potato wedges topped with hollandaise, bacon, scallions and cheddar cheese curds.
Flavorsome new offerings from Head Chef Maria Graziano like the French Elvis (peanut butter stuffed French Toast with bacon and bananas), pictured above.
Meanwhile, cinnamon black tea oatmeal is decked out with bourbon-soaked grilled peaches and brown butter crumble; Parmesan hashbrown waffles are served topped with chicken piccata, whipped gremolata butter, crisp capers and lemon zest ; and a vegetarian frittata comes with a choice of grits, toast or a fruit cup.
Guests are also invited to settle in with a Queen Mary Bloody Mary (dressed with two optional cocktail shrimp); try out their new Bourbon Berry Bramble (crème de cassis, blackberries and mint); or indulge in popular MOXIE martinis like the Silver Spring Sunset or the Salty Pear. A variety of zero-proof cocktails are also available.
MOXIE is open for lunch service on Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., dinner service Tuesday through Saturday from 5 to 9 p.m. and brunch service on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Guests can view the full brunch menu online
