The Bartolotta Restaurants will open Miss Beverly’s Deluxe Barbeque next door to Joey Gerard’s in the village of Greendale.
The new restaurant space will be carved from the existing Joey Gerard's footprint. Though they will have separate storefronts, the two eateries will share a kitchen.
Miss Beverly’s will serve house-smoked barbecue influenced by a variety of styles from across the country. The menu will feature barbecued pork and ribs, beef brisket, fried chicken, fish fry and traditional sides like cornbread, macaroni and cheese, collard greens and more.
In "fast-casual fashion," guests will order at the counter and have their food brought out to them. Customers will also be able to order online.
"Barbecue has long been something we’ve wanted to do as a company, and now seemed like the right time," says John Wise, Bartolotta's director of operations, who ran a barbecue restaurant in Chicago in the past.
Specialty sodas, sweet tea, beer and wine will be available. Guests can also order cocktails from the full bar at Joey Gerard’s.
The interior of Miss Beverly’s will be casual with concrete floors, weathered walls and a nostalgic feel.
Miss Beverly’s will most likely open in early June. Stay tuned to OnMilwaukee.com for more details.
