Thomas Werner, chairman of the Boston Red Sox and Liverpool Football Club, will deliver the keynote speech at Marquette University College of Business Administration’s annual Business Leaders Forum luncheon on Sept. 30 at 11:30 a.m. in the Alumni Memorial Union.
Werner’s presentation is open to the public. Registration is available online. The cost of the luncheon is $40 per person. Corporate tables of eight are available and start at $400.
Werner has been chairman of the Boston Red Sox for 11 seasons and chairman of the Liverpool Football Club of the English Premier League since 2010.
During his tenure with the Red Sox, the club has enjoyed unprecedented success, having won 1,000 games, including two World Series titles.
Werner and his partner, Marcy Carsey, helped create "The Cosby Show," "Roseanne" and "That ’70s Show," among others. He is a member of the Television Academy Hall of Fame and received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Producers Guild of America.
Werner has also served on the White House Fellows Commission and currently serves on the Crossroads School Board, the Board for After School All Stars, and the Ron Brown Scholar Program Board.
