Make Waves, a new plant-based concept, is slated to open its doors at the 3rd Street Market Hall, 275 W. Wisconsin Ave., on Wednesday, March 30 at 11 a.m.

Behind the concept is Playing in the Plants, the restaurant group behind On The Bus and Sugar Cube Donuts. 

“From the food to the artistic design, our team has put so much care into every detail. We’re excited for our plant-based vision to grow in Milwaukee,” notes Emily Ware of Playing in the Plants.

Make Waves features a fully plant-based menu including boba tea ($7), smoothies ($8), flatbreads ($8) and toast with various toppings, from avocado and hummus to berries and plant-based ricotta cheese ($7).

Make Waves will also feature a build your own “Wave Bowl” bar featuring superfood bases like açaí, pitaya-orange, matcha, mango and blue coconut, plus guests' choice of a variety of fresh toppings (custom bowls are $10 each).  [View their full menu online]

"Make Waves brings a great energy to the market hall with their vibrant colors and fresh ingredients," noted 3rd St. Market Hall Operations Manager, Jaime Jacobs in a press release announcing the new vendor. "We are excited to expand our vegan offerings and add some fun, healthy options to the roster."
