It's been a big day for pop star and confirmed Internet onion ring enthusiast Lorde. The New Zealand-based singer just released her new album "Melodrama," the much-anticipated sophomore follow-up to her hit debut "Pure Heroine," as well as announced tour dates for the North American leg of her upcoming world tour – including kicking off right here in Milwaukee at the BMO Harris Bradley Center on March 1.
The announcement came at midnight on Lorde's official website last night alongside the official release of "Melodrama." The tour will start in September at Manchester in the U.K., before hopping across Europe, her native New Zealand, Australia and then finally Milwaukee to open up her U.S. travels.
The two-time Grammy winner (both in 2014 for "Royals") last performed in Milwaukee in 2014, making her Cream City debut at the BMO Harris Pavilion. And the show must've made a mark, as she's coming back.
Tickets for the BMO Harris Bradley Center show – and the rest of the North American leg – are not available yet, but according to her website, they will go on sale to the public beginning on Friday, June 23 at 10 a.m. There will also be a presale available through Lorde's mailing list starting Tuesday, June 20 at 10 a.m.

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.
When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
