I, for one, never doubted that Coach K was going to guide his team to victory on Thursday night.
Of course, I didn't think it would happen in Milwaukee.
While Virginia Commonwealth was steamrolling Mike Krzyzewski's Duke Blue Devils out of the NCAA Tournament, new Bucks coach Larry Krystkowiak announced his presence with a surprising 101-90 victory over San Antonio in his NBA debut.
Krystkowiak, who replaced Terry Stotts on Wednesday night, had the Bucks playing hard enough and smart enough to end the Spurs' 13-game winning streak. It was about as impressive a start as a coach could expect.
But, it was just one game.
If the players respond to Krystkowiak's "defense-first" mentality, the Bucks could be poised to make an improvement in their final 17 games and maybe even into next year. But, we can't tell that from one game.
