This morning, the Riverside Theater announced that smooth-crooning R&B/pop star John Legend will return to Milwaukee on Thursday, June 8 for his first show in the Cream City in four years.
The show will be a part of Legend's "Light & Darkness Tour," featuring special guest Gallant as the evening's opener.
In addition to being half of the world's favorite couple with Chrissy Teigen, Legend has put together quite the career in show business, scoring hit singles with songs like "Save Room," "Ordinary People" and "All of Me"; winning 10 Grammys as well as an Oscar for Best Original Song in "Selma"; producing the WGN TV show "Underground" and the Barack Obama movie "Southside with Me"; and starring in the current Best Picture frontrunner "La La Land."
Tickets for Legend's 8 p.m. show (doors open at 7 p.m.) will go on sale starting on Friday, Feb. 10 at noon. Tickets range in price from $78 to $99.50 and $168. For more information on tickets and the show, visit the Riverside's website.
As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.
When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
