Jewel brings her latest tour and release to the Pabst Theater tonight.

In preparation for the show, the singer-songwriter gave away tickets via her Twitter account, and at about 2:30 p.m. today called Milwaukee a "surprisingly cool city." Her full Tweet was:

"Having a blast in Milwaukee- just did hot yoga and headed to lunch-what a pretty day in a surprisingly cool cit."

I've seen Jewel live once, and she's passionate and energetic on stage. Her current Star Light Café Tour began June 1 and covers 20 cities. "Sweet and Wild," is Jewel's second country set, and it hits iTunes and stores June 8, almost exactly two years after her first country endeavor, "Perfectly Clear."

Jewel heads to Chicago's Vic Theatre next for a Friday night show there.

Update:  Jewel wrote and sang a new song at Thursday's show.  It was called, "Milwaukee - Beer built this city but there's so much more!"  See my tweets from the show here.
