A Milwaukee- and a Madison-based Colectivo Coffee cafe will close on November 1. The Colectivo in the Third Ward and the Capitol Square location in Madison have both suffered significantly during the COVID-19 outbreak and will shutter in two weeks.

The Colectivo locations in Downtown's US Bank building and at Bayshore Town Center have not reopened since closing in March and do not have reopening dates. Colectivo also stopped its Chicago Troubadour Bakery project which was supposed to begin construction this past March, but never happened because of the pandemic.

“We are saddened to close these cafes for our co-workers and the customers they serve," said VP Brand, Marketing, Retail, Scott Schwebel. "We tried to make a go of it, but they simply are not viable in this COVID environment. We are rooting for a return to normalcy in these neighborhoods and Colectivo looks forward to being there for these communities when they bounce back.”
