About a decade ago, I scoured the city in search of the cleanest bar (and restaurant) bathrooms. My research resulted in a couple of OnMilwaukee.com articles and landed me spots on local radio and television programs. To this day I fancy myself a connoisseur of the public loo.
Hence, I know a good one when I see it.
That said, recently, during a two-day staycation, I brunched midday at The Harbor House, 550 N. Harbor Dr. My entire experience there was top-notch, from the gorgeous view to the likable waitress to the delicious oysters and Blood Mary.
On my way out, I went to the restroom and discovered it, too, was impressive. Seriously, it was cleaner than my second bathroom at home. The toilets were scrubbed, the toilet paper was well stocked and the deep, beautiful sinks looked like they were shined just minutes before.
Like the rest of the restaurant, the bathrooms are clean and white and open and airy. At the risk of sounding like a total lavatory loon, I highly recommend trying it out the next time you're dining at Harbor House.
