Before the Bucks battle the Brooklyn Nets Saturday night, the area outside the arena will be transformed into a community tailgate-like celebration featuring live music, food and beverage from tavern partners at the Old World Third Street Association.

Yep, the Bucks are throwing a tailgate. Saturday's "Build the Future Community Tailgate" – presented by Milwaukee Tool and supported by the Play It Forward coalition, of which OnMilwaukee is a member – is this on Saturday, Nov. 7. beginning at 2 p.m.

Here's the scoop. The Wisconsin Badgers (7-2) play Maryland (2-7), and the game kicks off at 2:30 p.m. It will be projected onto massive screens for your viewing and cheering pleasure.  The forecast has temperatures at around 52 degrees Saturday, so it should be perfect football weather.

Throughout the football game, there will be gigs from local musicians, culminating with a performance by hip-hop legend DMC. After the game, a program with speakers including the Bucks owners and former Buck Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, days after the debut of his new HBO Sports and Mandalay Sports Media documentary, will take place.

In addition, all in attendance will have the unique opportunity to be part of a photo collage that will be featured in the construction of the new arena.

It's all taking place just outside the BMO Harris Bradley Center near the intersection of Fourth Street and Highland Ave.
