The Arizona cat with a now-famous frown has a book, millions of fans on YouTube and Facebook and has a ton more money than you or I have. Unless you are super-rich and read this column … but I digress.

OUT: As predicted, Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey are out of the judging business on "American Idol."

The official word broke on Twitter late on Thursday. Carey was first, telling her fans she is looking forward to her upcoming world tour. A few hours later Minaj tweeted it was time to focus on her music.

Earlier this year, Randy Jackson announced he was leaving the show, which saw its worst ratings in the 12 seasons it’s been on Fox. All that’s left is country music singer Keith Urban, who reportedly had the smallest paycheck on the table.
