After years of focusing on burgers, AJ Bombers is giving folks a few new reasons to make a trip to 1247 N. Water St.

A brand new menu at the longtime burger joint showcases all your old favorites (from frickles to the Barrie Burger), along with a number of new offerings from  “clucking good” chicken tenders to salads and sandwiches.

“At AJ Bombers, we know burgers,” says Alex Sazama, Executive Chef of Hospitality Democracy restaurant group. “Now we’re thrilled to give our guests another way to enjoy AJ Bombers by bringing high-quality and craveworthy chicken items to our menu.”

The new menu introduces a variety of new chicken options which begin with sustainably sourced chicken, brined in buttermilk and lightly breaded.

Guests can enjoy that chicken in the form of chicken tenders (crispy or grilled naked with fries and choice of sauces) or on  sandwiches like the Buffalo Bill (fried or griddled chicken with Buffalo sauce, coleslaw and blue cheese) or the Hail Caesar chicken wrap (fried or griddle chicken with  lettuce, tomato, parmesan, and Caesar dressing).

Lighter options include grilled chicken salad with black beans, cheddar cheese, corn, poblano peppers, tortilla strips and tomato, avocado ranch dressing; or a classic wedge salad with Iceberg lettuce, blue cheese crumbles, bacon, red onion, tomato, choice of ranch or bleu cheese dressing.

Looking for something different? Try the Chicken Cone & Fries featuring fried tenders tossed in a choice of Nashville hot or honey mustard sauce and packed into a waffle cone ($12.50).

Of course, everything is better with a boozy frozen custard shake (or a not-so-boozy frozen custard shake for that matter).  Options include fun takes like the Cookie Monster (custard, Amaretto, Baileys, Blue curacao and Oreos; or the Peanut Butter Obsession with peanut butter custard, peanut butter chips, Screwball whiskey and chocolate drizzle.

AJ Bombers is open seven days a week for dine-in, carryout and delivery.
