Indeed Brewing is hosting a beer, food and music festival on June 4 and its Walker's Point neighbors, Broken Bat, celebrate five years with a series of new brews this weekend.

Broken Bat, which opened in the Third Ward five years ago before moving south of the river in 2020, to 135 E. Pittsburgh Ave., is celebrating its birthday this weekend.

On Friday April 8 at noon, the baseball-themed brewery will release two new beers – Murderers' Row Bourbon Barrel-Aged Cracker Jack Stout (10.5 percent ABV) and Junior Rum Barrel-Aged Mexican Chocolate Stout with cinnamon and vanilla (8.1 percent) – and celebrate the grand opening of its newly renovated upper taproom and events space called The Lumber Room.

Then on Saturday, the Concession Stand Series of Berliner Weisse brews returns with new flavor profiles.

The four 5.5 percent ABV beers are Lemon Italian Ice, Strawberry Banana Split, BlueRaspberry Cotton Candy and Cherry Rope Candy.

There will also be Brewers baseball on TV and ballpark-style food.

There are no pre-orders for the beers, which will be available on tap and in cans while supplies last.

Meanwhile, Indeed Brewing, 530 S. 2nd St., has announced that the Electric Love street festival will combine beer, food and music on Saturday, June 4, from noon until 1 a.m.

The street will be closed from Bruce to Virginia where the free festival will host Bayside Plant Center Mobile Greenhouse Truck, the Adventure Rock Mobile Climbing Wall and lawn games, plus live music from WMSE's Saturday Afternoon Boogie Bang, Tigera, Buffalo Galaxy, NUR-D, Gego y Nony and a special headliner that will be announced on fest day.

Riley's Good Dogs, Twisted Plants, Meat On The Street, Pilcrow Coffee and Pete's Pops will provide sustenance and Indeed will tap all kinds of beer, including Sun Kids Pale Ale, Flavorwave IPA, Aquafuzz Hazy IPA, Staccato Italian Pilsner, Mexican Honey Vampiro, Hello Milwaukee pilsner, Real Magic Hard Seltzer and more.

The cash-only, all ages event is free and open to all and will be held rain or shine. There will be ATMs on site.

“We’ve been wanting to organize a summer event since we opened in 2019 and this summer feels like the right time to start a great new Milwaukee festival tradition,” says Indeed Milwaukee Taproom Manager Grant Steskal. “We wanted our music lineup as well as our food and activity partners to reflect the excitement of the start of summer in Milwaukee as well as the diversity of the neighborhood we call home.

"Come on down to have your unique Electric Love experience on June 4 and see what we can do as a community to gather together and have a great party in the street!”
