Milwaukee was slow to the pizza party. While Lombardi's is said to have been America's first pizzeria in New York City in 1905, pizza wouldn't arrive in Milwaukee until 1945 when John Caravella and Joe Todaro opened the Caradaro Club at 326 E. Erie St. in the Third Ward.
