Judges Irish Pub is about to serve its last round.

The watering hole's Facebook page announced late last night that the bar, located at 1431 E. North Ave., would be closing April 6.

Owner Mike Lee confirmed to OnMilwaukee.com today that after 25 years he is selling the business to a group that will remodel the space and re-brand the pub. He says the new owners hope to open in late May and will release more information soon.

"We're having our 25th anniversary party on April 1, and we plan to have a closing party on April 6," he said.

The East Side BID also had a Facebook status today announcing that the new owners plan to name the pub The Irish Genie.
