An East Milwaukee institution, Zaffiro's, is making its way West as Marcus Theatres Corporation today announced that Zaffiro's pizza has been selected as the slice to be featured at the restaurants in the new Marcus Majestic Cinema in Brookfield.  The new theater complex is slated to open May 4, 2007.

"The pizza café at The Majestic will feature the traditional, thin-crust Zaffiro's pizza that Milwaukeeans have enjoyed since 1954.  Our pizza will use the same quality ingredients and recipes that Zaffiro's made famous at its Farwell Avenue location on Milwaukee's East Side.  The café will serve freshly prepared and baked Zaffiro's pizzas, as well as other menu items.  All menu items will be available for eat-in or carry out," said Fred Doyle, food and beverage manager for the Marcus Majestic Cinema.

"Zaffiro's has always been famous for its paper-thin-crust pizza and neighborhood bar-like atmosphere, serving five generations of families.  This is an exciting opportunity for us to expand our business, enabling people in the Brookfield and Waukesha areas to experience our delicious pizza at the new Majestic Cinema," said Mike Zaffiro, owner of Zaffiro's.

Madison-based Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream Company and Milwaukee-based Stone Creek Coffee are two of the other local vendors that Marcus will use in the new cinema.

Marcus also announced that the ice cream and coffee shop at the theater will feature hand-made chocolates and candy from the Fun Factory Sweetshop, a well-respected gourmet candy shop located in Rhinelander.
