Video is forever.
It's something that will become an even bigger issue for political candidates in the age of video cameras in telephones and YouTube.
By now, you're likely to have seen the clip of Christine O'Donnell's 1999 appearance on Bill Maher's old "Politically Incorrect," where she talked about a high school dalliance with witchcraft.
O'Donnell won last week's primary in Delaware to become the Republican nominee for Joe Biden's old Senate seat.
If you haven't, seen it, here's the video, as aired by Maher on his HBO show Friday night:
Try to to get past her '90s hairdo and you see a personality at ease on camera, a marketable feature that could get her through all these video gems.
Her answer yesterday showed she can handle the heat, as she noted that there's been "no witchcraft since":
"If there was, Karl Rove would be a supporter now."
Still, she dropped out of planned appearances on "Fox News Sunday," and CBS' "Face the Nation."
And Maher says he's using he'll be releasing bits of O'Donnell's more than 20 appearances on Politically Incorrect" until she agrees to come on his HBO show, "Real Time."

Today's new stuff: Today's the official launch of the new fall TV season, although a few shows have already started airing. In addition to a slew of season premieres, here are the new broadcast network shows debuting tonight:

A proud mom: By all accounts, Sarah Palin will get some ABC face time tonight when she's in the audience for the season premiere of "Dancing with the Stars" at 7 p.m. on Channel 12.
Her daughter, Bristol, is one of the "stars."
On TV: Deadline Hollywood reports that "Spartacus" star Andy Whitfield won't be back on the Starz show's second season because of a recurrence of his cancer.
- "Community" creator (and Milwaukee boy) Dan Harmon tells TV Guide that the NBC's sitcom's Christmas episode will be a stop-action animated special.
- TNT has ordered a 10-episode second season of Jason Lee's "Memphis Beat" for next year.
- Despite initially tweeting that SyFy's "Warehouse 13" had been picked up for another season, executive producer Jack Kenny now tweets, "nothing has been decided." And he's taking a break from Twitter.
How the world stopped turning: For historical purposes, here's the final scene of the last episode CBS' "As the World Turns," which aired Friday afternoon on Channel 58, ending a 54-year run.
