Milwaukee County Parks is pleased to host the 2013 Wisconsin PGA Junior Championships, June 25 and 26 at 7:30 a.m., at Brown Deer and Dretzka Park Golf Courses.
The event is the largest junior golf tournament in the state and is expected to bring over 400 golfers, ages 13-18, to the Milwaukee area.
Golfers will play both courses in a two-day, 36-hole event, competing in one of four divisions. The divisions are: Boys 13-15 and 16-18, and Girls 13-15 and 16-18. One boy and one girl will qualify as overall winners and will go on to the national PGA Junior Championship at Trump National Golf Course in Virginia.
The public is encouraged to come out and witness Wisconsin’s top young golfers. There is no admission fee for spectators.
Brown Deer Park Golf Course is the former home of the PGA Tour’s Greater Milwaukee Open and US Bank Championship. Dretzka Park is one of Milwaukee County’s championship-level courses. The Milwaukee County Parks boasts a total of 15 courses, ranging from par-3 layouts to tournament-caliber venues.
