It may be more than half a year away, but the Wisconsin State Fair is putting in the work right now, announcing yet another Main Stage headliner show: retro rock icons Foreigner, taking the stage on Saturday, Aug. 10.
The "Juke Box Hero," "Feels Like the First Time" and "I Want to Know What Love Is" rock stars will be joined on their "Farewell Tour" State Fair stop by Melissa Etheridge, who will serve as the evening's opening act.
The concert marks the band's latest State Fair stop in recent years, also performing at the late summer spectacular in 2021 and 2018.
Tickets for the Foreigner State Fair show will go on sale to the public beginning Friday, Jan. 26 at 10 a.m. at the Wisconsin State Fair's website. Reserved seating tickets will range in price from $60, $65 and $70. For more information on the show, click here.
Foreigner joins Kidz Bop Live and the Happy Together tour as State Fair headliners announced thus far – but obviously there are many more to come, so stay tuned to OnMilwaukee for more reveals as we get closer to opening day. As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.
When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
