Looks like Old Man Winter is ready to make another visit to Milwaukee.

As much as a foot of snow could fall over parts of southeastern Wisconsin -- with higher accumulation totals expected along the lakefront -- when a winter storm passes through the region later today.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for much of Southeast Wisconsin. The watch goes into effect tonight and will stay in place until Tuesday evening.

In addition to snow, winds coming off the lake could gust at 30 miles per hour or more, causing blowing and drifting snow. The snow isn't expected to be heavy, so the storm will also have an impact on driving.

Again, we invite you to share your experiences, pictures and even video during our live blizzard blog. OnMilwaukee.com staff writers will join in and report on conditions in their parts of town, we'll pass along important closing information and maybe have a little fun at the weatherman's expense.
