The Wisconsin Law Journal names Milwaukee's own Attorney William Jennaro the "Best Mediator" in Wisconsin this month.
The March 2009 issue of The Wisconsin Law Journal honors Jennaro for his work with over 1,000 alternative dispute resolution (ADR) cases. Chosen by local and regional lawyers and judges, Jennaro began his career as assistant district attorney in Milwaukee County and later established the public defender program in Children's Court of Milwaukee County.
Jennaro was elected to the bench in 1972 and served Milwaukee as county and then circuit court judge for over 12 years.
In the Wisconsin Law Journal publication, Jennaro says it was the court experience that helped him hone his problem-solving skills.
"I listened to people's problems and tried to sort out credibility," Jennaro says in an interview with the Wisconsin Law Journal.
Jennaro is now a shareholder at Cook and Franke SC with an emphasis on the alternative dispute resolution process.
