The Milwaukee Wave defeated the Baltimore Blast 14-2 in Game 1 of the Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) Championship Series on Friday night at 1st Mariner Arena.
The Wave were led by MISL Most Valuable Player finalist Marcio Leite's hat trick. Game 2 of the series will be held Sunday at 3:10 p.m. in Milwaukee at the U.S. Cellular Arena.

The Wave are vying to claim their second consecutive championship and sixth in the club's history.
In Game 1, the Wave were led by a suffocating defensive effort that saw goalkeeper Marcel Feenstra make 11 saves and the defense block 22 more shots in front of him.
