After a three-month hiatus, Wauwatiki is back in an action.

According to a post on Facebook earlier this evening, the tiki bar at 6502 W. North Ave. has officially reopened. The bar, which opened last March, closed in September due to an electrical fire, which caused extensive smoked damage to the interior of the bar and restaurant.

The reopening comes with myriad changes, including new decor, a new food menu and additions to the former cocktail menu. And while it's still a few (long) months away, Wauwatiki also promises a brand new outdoor patio come springtime.

Wauwatiki's hours are 4:30 p.m. to 2 a.m. Tuesday through Sunday.
