Not only is Delafield set to get its first mass timber building but it’s also getting the first Wisconsin Voodoo Brewing Co. pub.
Voodoo, which was founded in 2005 in Pennsylvania, will occupy a roughly 3,800-square-foot space in the east building of The Grain, a mixed-use development at 705 Genessee St. The $25 million development also contains office space, parking and retail spaces with a tenant list that so far includes Brunch Delafield, Midwest Insurance Group, NONA Nutrition, RBC Wealth Management, Synthetaic, and Velvet & Tulle Boutique.
In addition to craft beer brewed at its Pittsburgh brewery, Voodoo will offer pub food like burgers, pizza, wings and weekend brunch, and will have indoor and outdoor seating for about 120.
Among Voodoo’s year-round brews are Good Vibes West Coast IPA, Lacto-Kooler sour berliner weisse, Empty Calories American light lager, Thunder Lizard imperial IPA, Voodoo Love Child fruited Belgian tripel and Oh Mama American golden lager.
It also releases seasonals that include stouts, Oktoberfest, a lime kolsch and others. Voodoo also seems to do a number of “Spontaneous Releases,” some of which you can see here.
Employee-owned Voodoo Brewing was founded in Meadville, in Western Pennsylvania in 2005 and opened its first taproom seven years later. Taprooms in Pittsburgh and Erie followed in 2015 and ‘16.
A new production brewery opened in 2017, followed by a State College taproom in 2019.
Voodoo now has locations in Pennsylvania, Florida, Texas, Nevada and Idaho, as well as franchised locations in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Colorado, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas and Nevada.
Delafield's is a franchised location.
