Opening day is just around the corner, with the Brewers taking on the Mets during their season home opener on April 3.
And Brewers’ fans have much to look forward to, from the opening of the new J. Leinenkugel’s Barrel Yard to a brand new partnership with Vienna Beef, the new official hot dog of the Milwaukee Brewers and American Family Field.
First introduced by Austrian-Hungarian immigrants Emil Reichel and Samuel Ladany who brought their family frankfurter recipe to the legendary World’s Fair, the name Vienna Beef has been synonymous with premium hot dogs for 130 years. And, thanks to the new partnership, stadium visitors will be able to experience Vienna Beef’s premium hot dogs and jumbo dogs during every Brewers home game beginning April 3.
As part of its sponsorship agreement with the Brewers, fans will see rotational Vienna Beef signage along the first and third base sides of American Family Field, as well as experience Vienna Beef promotions at all concession stand screens.
That’s not all
The partnership is great for baseball fans. But hot dog fans, more generally, also have reason to be excited.
The Brewers’ partnership coincides with the expansion of Vienna Beef’s grocery store distribution throughout Southeastern Wisconsin. Increased distribution means their hot dogs and jumbo dogs are now available at most Pick ‘n Save and Metro Market locations, along with various other retailers throughout Wisconsin. Consumers will also see the launch of retail promotions and special savings at Pick ‘n Save and Metro Market moving forward.
“This is an exciting time for Vienna Beef, and we are thrilled to embrace the Milwaukee community and the many longtime supporters in the area, notes Timothy O’Brien, president of Vienna Beef.
“As close neighbors, located 90 miles south in Chicago, we feel a kinship with Milwaukee. We can’t imagine a better way to embrace that connection than our partnership with the Brewers™ and Pick ‘n Save and Metro Market stores. We are grateful to our many Milwaukee area hot dog stand vendors and other retailers who have been carrying our product for many years, some close to half a century, leading the way for these exciting new partnerships.”
