After 72 years, BloodCenter of Wisconsin has changed its name to Versiti Blood Center of Wisconsin. As of this afternoon, a new sign atop its headquarters, 638 N. 18th St., will reflect the name change.

"The installation of the Versiti sign on our headquarters building is a reflection of our strong commitment to this community," says Versiti President and CEO Chris Miskel. "The Versiti logo signifies a beacon of hope and innovation. It’s a moment of great pride for us, and my hope is that the bright beacon is a daily reminder to the community that we can only rely on each other for the life-saving gift of blood."

Versiti donor centers across Wisconsin will receive new signs throughout 2019, as well as Versiti’s other affiliate organizations: Michigan Blood, Indiana Blood, and Heartland BloodCenters in Chicagoland.

By giving blood one time you can save up to three lives. Make an appointment here. I did, but writing this article reminds me I'm do to donate again!
