Earth Day was officially on Tuesday, but if you have to wait until the weekend to observe, a celebration will take place at the Urban Ecology Center in Riverside Park on Sat., April 26.

The rain-or-shine event kicks off at 9 a.m. with morning activities including a park clean up, 4-mile hike to the lake and a presentation by the Wisconsin Focus on Energy.

The actual festival takes place from 12 to 5 p.m. and features sustainable living demonstrations such as healthy products to make, healthy and earth-friendly food choices, transportation alternatives and composting.
