If you’re planning a trip to Door County this summer, you may want to consider visiting at the end of June.
Ellison Bay will host the Door Peninsula’s first county-wide food and wine festival, Uncork Summer from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 28, at the grounds of Wickman House, 11976 Mink River Rd.
The festival will feature small plates from 20 Door County restaurants and markets, including Alexander's, Al Johnson's Swedish Restaurant, Galileo's Italian Steakhouse, Parador, Pasta Vino, Shoreline Restaurant, The Whistling Swan and Wild Tomato Pizzeria, plus regional wines and craft beers, including products from Door County Brewing Company, Island Orchard Cider and Tapuat Kombucha.
Well-known local acoustic musicians, including Katie Dahl, Small Forest and Death Folk, will perform live throughout the day.
There is no admission fee to attend Uncork Summer; instead, tickets for individual small plate dishes and drinks will be sold onsite for $5 each.

Door Peninsula Winery is the oldest and largest winery in Door County and the largest producing winery in the state. It offers more than 45 types of wine, including many made with local fruit, like Door County cherries and apples, as well as Wisconsin cranberries and grapes.
