While the film industry celebrated excellence last night at the Academy Awards, guess which movie did the best business at the box office over the weekend? If you said "Madea Goes to Jail," take a gold statue for yourself.

Tyler Perry's movie grossed $41 million, which is being hailed as the best film ever about a black man in a female fat suit going to prison, finished far ahead of  "Taken" ($11.4 million), "Coraline" ($11.031 million) and "He's Just Not That Into You," ($8.5 million).

A little-known movie called "Slumdog Millionaire" slipped into the No. 5 spot at $8 million, but we don't now why there was interest in that film at this point.
