"Bar Month" at OnMilwaukee.com is back for another round! The whole month of February, we're serving up intoxicatingly fun bars and club articles -- including guides, unique features, drink recipes and more. Grab a designated driver and dive in!

Every year we do a round robin on our block and our neighbors always do some decadent winter drinks. This year we decided to up the ante by doing Tom & Jerrys, which require a little work, but are worth it.

1 oz. dark rum
1 oz. brandy
1 egg
1 tsp. sugar
6 oz. water, milk or coffee

Separate the egg and beat the white to soft peaks. Add the sugar and beat until stiff. Mix the rum, brandy and egg yolk until frothy and fold into the beaten white. Pour into a coffee mug and top it off with hot milk.

You can also buy Tom & Jerry mix and add the booze and milk. If you're having a lot of people, you'll want to choose this method or you'll be stuck in the kitchen all night making drinks.
