With thousands of visitors expected Downtown this weekend to take part in Doors Open, The Hop, presented by Potawatomi Hotel & Casino, will be putting an extra vehicle into service both days to accommodate the large crowds. On both Saturday, Sept. 28 and Sunday, Sept. 29, a third vehicle will operate from 9 a.m. until 10 p.m., providing service every 15 minutes.

Doors Open is Historic Milwaukee Inc.’s behind-the-scenes look at more than 170 buildings and other Milwaukee locations in celebration of the city’s art, architecture, culture and history. This year’s event marks the first time The Hop will be in operation during Doors Open, and with over 40 of those sites located within a few blocks of the route the streetcar provides a convenient and free option for exploring the city this weekend.

To add to the experience for Doors Open attendees riding the streetcar this weekend, The Hop has partnered with Milwaukee Downtown BID #21 to have Public Services Ambassadors on board all three streetcars from 12-2 p.m. both days handing out Hop buttons, stickers and route maps.
