Last year, we brought you the news that one of Milwaukee’s historic restaurants, The Brown Bottle, would be reopening under the management of F Street Hospitality, the folks behind Bottle House 42 (formerly Glass + Griddle), Pizza Man and Timmer’s Resort.
Those plans are moving forward. In fact, guests can expect the restaurant to reopen its doors this summer with a new chef and a fresh new menu. But, just in time for Mother's Day, F Street Hospitality is giving guests a sneak peek at what’s to come with a special virtual cooking class featuring one of The Brown Bottle’s future menu specials.
The virtual event, which celebrates Milwaukee’s rich brewing heritage and Schlitz Park, will offer participants a sneak peek at The Brown Bottle interiors and history while creating a future Brown Bottle menu item from the comfort of home.
About the class
This virtual cooking event, led by Bottle House 42 Executive Chef Josh Peterson, will showcase MKE + Cheese, a Milwaukee-take on the cuisine classic, Mac n’ Cheese.
Peterson will walk attendees through the recipe with straightforward and simple instructions, helping them create a delicious dish at home.
Meal prep kits are currently available to order online with pick-up at Bottle House 42 May 6 through May 8. Kits are $40 each and include fresh and pre-measured ingredients, a four-pack of Milwaukee Brewing Company beer and Brown Bottle souvenirs. Schlitz Park employees can score the kits for just $30. Each attendee will be sent a copy of the virtual class on May 6.
The video also includes a virtual tour of the historic Brown Bottle restaurant and the story of how Schlitz Campus celebrates Milwaukee’s rich history and preserves the brewing-site-turned-office-space that made Milwaukee Famous.

Between 2004 and 2012, the tavern was rebranded as Libiamo, an Italian restaurant. But in 2014, it was reclaimed and brought back to life as part of Schlitz Park’s Stock-House renovation. After five years of operation under
