Thai-namite, located on Astor and Brady Streets on the East Side, is – like many local bars and restaurants – eying a location in the booming East Tosa neighborhood.
At its May 12 meeting, The Wauwatosa Plan Commission is slated to look at a new location for the Thai bistro and sushi bar in the former Fattoni's Deli space at 7212 W. North Ave.
A restaurant serving Thai food and good sushi would likely do pretty well on North Avenue, where no one is really serving those dishes. However, Bay View's Hue is expected to open a new Vietnamese restaurant at 6519 W. North Ave. soon.
Further east, Mekong Cafe has been serving a range of Asian cuisines – including Thai – for a few years already at 5930 W. North Ave.
