Summerfest 51 is underway, and the festivities of last year’s celebratory half-century have carried on, with the music and food as good as ever. And while the tasty options always satisfy your palate, your wallet may not feel the same way.

So to help prepare you for what you will spend to eat, here is a list of some Summerfest favorites and how much – or little – you'll have to cough up to get them.

Pizza

There is a tie for the cheapest slice of pizza on the grounds. You can get a slice of cheese pizza for $5.50 at either Divino – located in the food strip by the north gate – or from SoLo Pizza, which is located near the BMO Harris Pavilion.

For a slice with toppings on it, both Divino and SoLo Pizza are still your best bets, where a slice with toppings is $6.

If you are feeding family and friends, or just feeling really hungry, you can get a full pizza at Venice Club with prices ranging from $13 to $14.50 depending on the toppings.

Burger

The Charcoal Grill and Major Goolsby's – both located near the Briggs and Stratton Big Backyard – are tied for the cheapest hamburger at $7. That price includes just the hamburger; if you want cheese, it's 50 cents more.

French fries

Fries don't come as a free side. The prices vary but most are around the $3 mark. If you want those famous Saz's sour cream and chive fries, which are highly recommended, they cost $3.50.

Eggplant strips

If there are any locations other than Venice Club, located across from the Miller Lite Oasis, that sell eggplant strips, we must have missed them. Regardless, if you really want eggplant strips, go to the Venice Club. They are incredible.

They cost $7.25 for a plate, however, it is a big plate that can be shared and considered a meal. If you share it with a friend, you can split the price.

Roasted corn

Corn from any stand will cost you at least $4 so where you decide to get it is up to you. And if you want a bag of popcorn, be prepared to spend $4.50 for a small wherever you go.

Drinks

For drinks such as soda and fresh-squeezed lemonade, you are going to spend at least $4 wherever you go, so take your pick.

The cheapest cup of beer at Summerfest is Miller Lite, and the cheapest price for a cup I could find was at the Briggs & Stratton Big Backyard, where it's $6.

Ice cream

There is really one choice for ice cream at Summerfest: Cedar Crest.

At Cedar Crest, you can get a one-topping sundae for $5.50, a single scoop of ice cream for $3 and a double for only 75 cents more.

It should be noted that Dippin Dots can be found in various locations around the festival. Their prices start at $5 and go up to $9.

Brat

Be sure to stop by the new Klement’s Sausage and Beer Garden, Summerfest’s latest grounds stage, located across from the also new U.S. Cellular Connection Stage.

The menu at the Klement’s Sausage and Beer Garden is fairly large and includes items such as a sausage sampler for $11, a four-cheese brat for $6, an all-beef snack stick and more. A traditional brat will cost you $6, and as you'd hope from a beer garden, beer is also served at this location. Check out the full music lineup at the Klement’s Sausage and Beer Garden stage here.
