Summer Soulstice will be back and bigger than ever this summer – and that's not just some writing cliche, as the East Side's day-long summer celebration will be literally larger with two more stages joining the party when it returns next month.
Hosted this year on Saturday, June 15 from noon until midnight in the center of the East Side, the free festival has recently featured three stages – found at Kenilworth, Ivanhoe and Farwell – plus a DJ hub spinning in Black Cat Alley. This summer, however, two additional stages will share in the Summer Soulstice festivities: a Murray Avenue stage as well as a stage at Kind Oasis, found at 2169 N. Farwell Ave.
“In keeping with the tradition of Summer Soulstice, we’ve put together a lineup that represents the spirit of the current Milwaukee music and arts culture," said local talent and booking curator Jason Burczyk, in a release. "Whether you’re strolling with the family or coming to dance your face off, groove with the tunes or sing along to some old favorites, there’s a little something in here for everybody and we’re real proud of it.”
And with that, here's the extra-large lineup of music coming to the East Side's Summer Soulstice next month:

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.
When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
