FM 102/1's Summerfest SummerCamp returns with the opportunity to see private, stripped-down, acoustic performances with Big Gig-booked bands in a smaller venue.
The Cooperage, 822 S. Water St., will host Rise Against, Bleachers, Cold War Kids, Black Pumas, K.Flay, grandson and KennyHoopla.
There are two ways to win: Listen to Adler weekday mornings at 8:30 a.m. for a chance to win a Summerfest SummerCamp Power Pass that gets you and a friend into every day of SummerCamp. Or go to OnMilwaukee's Instgram page to enter a Power Pass giveaway.
"SummerCamp is going to be the best place to see amazing Summerfest bands up close and personal and hear the stories behind the songs," says FM/102's program director and midday personality, Michelle Rutkowski.
SummerCamp will take place prior to already-scheduled Summerfest concerts every weekend of Summerfest, Sept. 2-4, 9-11 and 16-18, 2021. SummerCamp attendees will be transported from The Cooperage to Summerfest via bus.
Additional entertainment will also be a part of the SummerCamp experience, including local music, henna tattoos and more. Will there be ghost stories and s'mores, you ask?
"Feed us enough beer and anything is possible," says Rutkowski. "But seriously, we are excited to work with Summerfest to offer Milwaukee a truly unique experience they won't find anywhere else."
