Stevie Wonder wants Americans to sing their song, and he’ll bring his own songbook with a new tour that will head through Milwaukee next month.
On Thursday, Wonder announced the “Sing Your Song! As We Fix Our Nation’s Broken Heart” tour, which will reach 10 cities in battleground states in the 2024 election. The title coincides with his new single, “Can We Fix Our Nation’s Broken Heart,” which was released on August 30th. The tour is part of a call for “joy over anger, kindness over recrimination, peace over war.” He'll touch down in Milwaukee on October 24th.
In addition to the new single and a call to bring people together, Wonder will offer a select number of complimentary tickets to the show, specified for people in “communities who are already working tirelessly to fix our nation’s broken heart.”
Thursday’s announcement marks the first Milwaukee show for Wonder in almost a decade, since a 2015 Summerfest appearance. It’s only the seventh Milwaukee show for the 25-time GRAMMY winner in his career, and the fourth since the turn of the millennium.
In addition to the Wisconsin stop, the tour will also reach Minneapolis, Detroit, and Grand Rapids in the Midwest, as well as stops in Pennsylvania, Georgia, New York and more swing states.
Tickets for Stevie Wonder at Fiserv Forum will go on sale this week Friday at Noon via the Fiserv Forum website.
