After doing its best to bring the tastes of the beloved summer tradition to fans even in the midst of a pandemic, the Wisconsin State Fair is now aiming to bring the sounds of the festival to crowds as well with a special live drive-in concert from Grammy-winning Christian pop duo For King & Country.
The drive-in show will take the (social distanced) stage at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 12 at Wisconsin State Fair Park.
In order to encourage social distancing, vehicles will be spaced apart from one another with each parking space on the automobiles' left and right made unoccupied. Restrooms will be available, as well as limited concessions and merchandise – but remember to wear your mask within six feet of proximity to others.
Tickets for the drive-in concert will be available per vehicle, with up to six people allowed per automobile. Admission costs $150 for general admission and $200 for VIP parking, with tickets now for sale at the Wisconsin State Fair's website as well as the State Fair ticket office, open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. at 7722 W. Greenfield Ave. Tickets must be bought in advance of the show.
For more information on the drive-in show – including parking instructions and pre-ordered concession packages – visit State Fair's website.
As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.
When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
