No matter if you're single, married or somewhere complicated in the middle, you've got a date with delicious pastry this Valentine's Day thanks to the Wisconsin State Fair and its final curbside cream puff event – complete with the return of the cocoa cream puffs as well as the introduction of another brand new flavor, strawberry.
The new pink puffs feature the classic light and fluffy pastry shell, this time packed with strawberry-flavored cream in the middle that's the perfect hue for the holiday and just as sweet too. (As far as Valentine's Day treats go, we haven't tried it yet, but we can already tell it beats those nasty chalk message hearts.)
The cream puff pop-up will take place Feb. 11-14, featuring three-packs of either the strawberry or chocolate options for $14 as well as six-packs for $25. However, if you order before Sunday, Feb. 7, you can get three-packs for only $12 and six-packs for $22. To place your order, head over to the Wisconsin State Fair's website.
As for picking up your strawberry sweets and chocolate creations, vehicles should enter State Fair Park though Gate 5, found at 640 S. 84th Street. The curbside pick-up spot will be open Thursday, Feb. 11 through Saturday, Feb. 13 from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m., as well as on Sunday, Feb. 14 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Customers are asked to stay in their vehicles to ensure social distancing and keep any lines moving as smoothly as possible.
