For fans of Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, guessing the set list is a treasured pre-show ritual that helps build excitement for the performance.

Springsteen is taking some of that guess work out of his Nov. 15 date at the Bradley Center, but it's doubtful that the diehards will complain.

The Bradley Center announced today that Springsteen and friends will perform the acclaimed 1975 album "Born to Run" in its entirety during the middle portion of the Milwaukee show.

Springsteen, who visited Milwaukee twice last year, has been on the road for nearly the past two years and has been playing classic albums like "Born to Run," "Darkness on the Edge of Town" and "Born in the U.S.A." in order to keep the shows fresh.

The experiment started Sept. 20 in Chicago.

"Chicago convinced us that this was really worth doing," Springsteen's manager Jon Landau said in a statement. "The audience was so supportive of the concept that it convinced us to go ahead with this at select other shows."

Steve Costello, president of the Bradley Center, announced hte "Born to Run" Milwaukee event Thursday morning on the "Dave and Carole Morning Show" on WKLH (96.5 FM). 

"For all Bruce fans, indeed any rock music fan, this show is a once-in-lifetime opportunity to experience live one of the absolute best rock music albums ever made -- and that's only a part of the show. We couldn't be happier that Bruce and the Band have agreed to this very special performance for their Wisconsin fans, it will surely be a very special and memorable night of incredible music."

Springsteen will wrap the tour a week after the Milwaukee show. Plans beyond that are uncertain.

"We're going to take a little break," guitar player Nils Lofgren told the Associated Press recently.
